The Six Nations is the northern hemisphere's annual international championship, played over five weekends in February and March between England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. Each team meets the other five once, alternating home and away year by year. A team that wins all five matches takes the Grand Slam; the home nations also compete for the Triple Crown. Bonus points for tries and narrow defeats have counted since 2017. 6 teams take part in the 2026 season. France are the reigning champions.
