History
Founded in The Hague on 11 November 1932, HRC is one of the oldest rugby clubs in the Netherlands. It won seven national titles in eight seasons between 1966 and 1973, and more in 1978, 1980, 1985, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2014. In 2025 it ended Rotterdam's unbeaten season with a 37-34 win in the final, and in 2026 it kept the title by beating The Dukes 32-24 — its 16th national championship, second only to RC Hilversum's 19. The club plays on the Theo Mann-Bouwmeesterlaan in Benoordenhout and has about 500 youth players.
