History

ASUB began in 1959 as the rugby section of the Association Sportive Universitaire Bruxelloise, started by students of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. It won its first Belgian title in 1963 — the year it also took the championship of northern France — and dominated the 1980s, with four titles in a row from 1986 to 1989. In 1989 the club tied its future to Waterloo, where it plays at the Stade du Pachy. With 16 Belgian titles (the latest in 2013 and 2014), 14 Belgian Cups and three Super Cups, it calls itself the most decorated club in Belgium.
